The Club

WiCS loves our members! Throughout the school year, the organization offers community socials (e.g. therapy dogs, tote bag painting), professional development workshops (e.g. technical interview workshops, coffee chats), and industry events (e.g. speaker panels, tech talks) open to all! Stay connected with the community by joining our Community Slack!

Intern Program

The WiCS Intern Program is designed as an opportunity for underclassmen to get more involved with WiCS. Interns join a specific team within our board and work on meaningful projects alongside their team leads. The Intern Program is an awesome way to join a community of supportive friends & mentors who will guide you throughout your Stanford career and beyond. Applications open every fall.

Fellows Program

The Fellows Program is a year-long technical program comprised of speaker series, technical workshops, and group projects. Join a supportive and welcoming community, meet other students interested in tech, make friends at social events, and learn from upperclassmen. This program is open to Stanford students of all years (frosh welcome!) and no prior coding experience is required, but CS 106A is recommended. More info on applications coming soon!

Outreach

Our Outreach Team runs educational programs in partnership with local non-profits and public schools, serving low-income, historically underrepresented high schoolers who are interested in tech. The WiCS Outreach Team is always looking for volunteers to support this program, in roles as diverse as curriculum design and active mentoring. As a volunteer, you’ll work alongside WiCS board to ensure instructional activities are well-designed and effective and develop long-term relationships with the students you’ll be mentoring in the program.

WiCS Board

If you’re interested in having a bigger role within the Stanford WiCS community, join board! No matter your prior exposure to tech or WiCS, we want to welcome anyone who is passionate about empowering & supporting inclusion in tech. Being a board member is a year-long commitment to working with a team in WiCS where you can make a huge impact in the WiCS community. Applications open every spring.
