WiCS Leadership Team

Presidents

With over 1,400 general members in WiCS, the Presidents work with 40+ board members across 10 teams to establish the organization's vision to empower and support the growing community of women in technology.

Vice President of Operations

The WiCS VPO is the point person for all things related to the WiCS budget. They are responsible for final sponsorships, grants, and reimbursements for all 10 sub-teams.

Sponsorship & Finance

The WiCS Sponsorship & Finance Team is in charge of spearheading the budget across all 10 teams, managing relationships with corporate sponsors & Stanford University, and reaching out to potential industry sponsors to make WiCS events possible!

Community

The WiCS Community Team manages all community programming for the organization. They plan internal events for WiCS Board and bolster the WiCS community by hosting social events for all WiCS, such as board brunches, Special D's with professors, and study nights. 

Fellows Program

The WiCS Fellows Program is a quarter-long program that allows WiCS members to become a part of a tight-knit and cultivated community that values learning from and with others. WiCS Fellows will have the opportunity to connect with other driven and like-minded WiCS members and collaborate on relevant technical projects that will be presented at an end-of-quarter showcase.

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

The WiCS DEI Team works on sharing the perspectives of diverse voices in tech and building sustainable diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives within the WiCS community at Stanford. The team aims to make computer science a more accessible and inclusive field to students of all backgrounds. 

Industry Events

The WiCS Industry Events Team is in charge of connecting WiCS members with professionals in the tech industry. From recruiting events to tech talks, the team works with the organization's corporate sponsors to host events where members can network and learn from female engineers in the field. 

Intern Directors

The WiCS Intern Program is designed as an opportunity to have a bigger role in the WiCS community. Interns become a part of WiCS Board and join a specific team, where they will the chance to work on meaningful projects that will make a direct impact on the greater WiCS community. 

Marketing

The WiCS Marketing Team collaborates with all teams on WiCS Board to help promote the organization's events and create a cohesive brand. The team's main goal is to maintain WiCS' presence on campus through ideating social media campaigns, overseeing WiCS' blog, and curating a weekly digest to distribute WiCS news and opportunities. 

Outreach

The WiCS Outreach Team runs a year-long educational program for historically and underserved high school students to teach them the basics of coding and computer science. The team aims to tackle underrepresentation in technology and promote greater equality in STEM by providing these students with the tools to feel empowered in their education.

Professional Development

The Professional Development Team helps WiCS members prepare for their careers in technology. The team supports members in developing their job-seeking skills and creates opportunities for them to receive guidance from upperclassmen and professors. 

Graduate Community

The WiCS Graduate Community aims to create a community among graduate students in Computer Science, including Coterminal, Master's, and PhD students. The team is passionate about mentorship and providing opportunities for undergraduate women to learn more about graduate life and Computer Science research at Stanford. 

Interns

WiCS Interns design and lead projects that directly impact the Stanford community, working closely with different teams in fall, winter, and spring.
