Community

The WiCS Community Team manages all community programming for the organization. They plan internal events for WiCS Board and bolster the WiCS community by hosting social events for all WiCS, such as board brunches, Special D's with professors, and study nights.

Fellows Program

The WiCS Fellows Program is a quarter-long program that allows WiCS members to become a part of a tight-knit and cultivated community that values learning from and with others. WiCS Fellows will have the opportunity to connect with other driven and like-minded WiCS members and collaborate on relevant technical projects that will be presented at an end-of-quarter showcase.

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

The WiCS DEI Team works on sharing the perspectives of diverse voices in tech and building sustainable diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives within the WiCS community at Stanford. The WiCS Industry Events Team is in charge of connecting WiCS members with professionals in the tech industry. From recruiting events to tech talks, the team works with the organization's corporate sponsors to host events where members can network and learn from female engineers in the field.

Outreach

The WiCS Outreach Team runs a year-long educational program for historically and underserved high school students to teach them the basics of coding and computer science. The team aims to tackle underrepresentation in technology and promote greater equality in STEM by providing these students with the tools to feel empowered in their education.
